In November 2022, Lianzhou Sports Center will host the 16th Guangdong Provincial Games, including wrestling, karate, and Tai Chi. The planned land area of Lianzhou Sports Center is more than 50,000 square meters, with a total investment of more than 260 million yuan. The main facilities include a stadium and a comprehensive gymnasium with three floors above ground and one floor underground. The gymnasium has a construction area of about 17,600 square meters. In addition to the competition venue (about 3,200 spectator seats), there are also warm-up training rooms, medical rooms, athletes' lounges, equipment rooms and other functional rooms. The stadium has a construction area of about 4,000 square meters, with a total of about 3,000 seats on the stands.
